- What age range is Positive Gaming™ iDANCE for?
Positive Gaming™ iDANCE is recommended for ages 7 upwards. Children as young as 2-3 years old can start enjoying the game, but as the game play requires a theoretical understanding of how the game works as well as the ability to "read" the arrows, the minimum age to play it properly is similar to the age a child learns how to read.
- What makes Positive Gaming™ iDANCE multiplayer fun to play?
We have seen that those playing Positive Gaming™ iDANCE multiplayer are having incredible fun because they are playing with a group of people. Positive Gaming™ iDANCE multiplayer also allows each player to have a group experience without setting anyone in the spotlight. Each individual player can learn the game at his or her own pace, yet still participate with friends and classmates in a large group. The possibility for the players to choose between 3 difficulty levels within the same song, allows total beginners and experts to have fun together while playing on their own level.
- What benefits can I see from playing Positive Gaming™ iDANCE?
We have seen workouts similar to the cardiovascular workouts achieved by running or jogging, and in some cases even stronger results because the fun element of the game is very stimulating. Studies have been conducted to prove positive effects on the body, as well as on an increased ability to focus and on body / brain coordination. - Can players of different skill levels play at the same time?
Yes! Positive Gaming™ iDANCE features a wide range of difficulty levels from 1 to 25 which provides the best learning curve for players. Each song provides five selectable arrow step charts and each chart has a difficulty level range from 1 through 25. With five selectable charts for each song, everyone can choose the difficulty which best suits their level of play.
- Can I play Positive Gaming™ iDANCE at home?
Currently Positive Gaming™ iDANCE is only available as a multiplayer system. An Arcade version has been planned, but no dates are given yet. There is a strong desire to develop and release a home version, but it’s too early to say if / when such a version will be released.
- Does Positive Gaming™ iDANCE exist as an arcade game? If not, will it ever be, and if so, when?
Positive Gaming has kept in mind arcade gaming while designing iDANCE, with the development of advanced stepcharts as an example. An Arcade version has been planned for 2009, and will contain lots of unique features.
- How can I get Positive Gaming™ iDANCE to my school or local facility?

- Is Positive Gaming™ iDANCE based on the open source Stepmania machine dance simulator, or is it a dance game built from scratch?
Positive Gaming™ iDANCE is not based on Stepmania. It has been built from the ground up using its’ own engine, which gives the foundation for optimal 3D features etc. All programming, coding and designing development has been created by the Positive Gaming team.
- What do I need to play Positive Gaming™ iDANCE?
Positive Gaming™ iDANCE is a specialized system utilizing custom designed software which allows up to 32 Positive Gaming Impact Wireless platforms to be connected. The main components in our system include:
- Dedicated computer system with Positive Gaming™ iDANCE software
- Positive Gaming™ Wireless Base Station
- Positive Gaming™ Impact iDANCE platforms (incl. chargers)
- Remote Control
- Cordless Keyboard
In addition, a tv or projector and screen is required, as well as an amplifier and loudspeakers.
- Can I use any Television or Projector with Positive Gaming™ iDANCE?
Any high definition television or projector can be used. Because of the high amount of players and game data displayed, Positive Gaming™ iDANCE has been designed for playback only in HD.
- Can I purchase additional wireless platforms to expant my Positive Gaming™ iDANCE system?
Of course! New platforms can be purchased through your distributor and are just as easy to setup as your current platforms.
